Biography

I am a teacher, performer and choral conductor.

This is the beginning of my 9th year teaching elementary school (my 4th at Oakcliff!).  I previously have taught at the college level and private music lessons.  Elementary is by far my favorite.

I am a trained singer but play a variety of instruments.  I began taking piano as a 7 year old and now teach other 7 year olds.  My singing career began in church choirs and school choruses.  Although I am happy singing solos, I find that I really enjoy singing with a small group best.  As a music teacher I have had to learn guitar, recorder, auto harp and all the classroom instruments.  Who knew when I was a little girl playing the triangle in music class that one day I’d have an entire room full of instruments.

We have chorus for 4th and 5th grade students that meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings and all are invited.  I gives me great joy to pass along the love of singing beautiful music to our children.

LET IT SNOW!

The snowman in the yard is frozen hardnormal;background:white'>He’s a sorry sight to see.normal;background:white'>If he had a brain, he’d complain, normal;background:white'>Bet he wishes he were me!normal;background:white'>

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Man it doesn't show signs of stoppin'
And I brought some corn for poppin'
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

When we finally kiss good-night
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm

And the fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, and snow
