| Biography Greetings Parents, Students, Faculty, and the Oakcliff Community, It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to serve as the Principal of Oakcliff Traditional Theme School for another school year! I came to Oakcliff in June 2014, after serving as the Assistant Principal in one of our neighboring schools, Pleasantdale Elementary. Since coming to Oakcliff, I have a newfound respect for not only the community of students that I serve, but the families and community that I have had the chance to get to know even better! Oakcliff Traditional Theme School is a hidden gem in Doraville, and I am excited to be a part of the awesome events, activities, and learning that is going on each and every day in our school! Each school year, I make it a personal goal of mine to improve in everything that I do for my staff, students, parents, and community. I want Oakcliff to be a School of Excellence in all ways! That means excellence from the custodial and cafeteria staff, to the teaching and educational support staff, to the parents and student body. Our motto is, “Every Child…Every Day…in Every Way! We Enter to Learn, and We Exit to Serve!” Each school year, our focus is to improve our MAP scores, our GA Milestones scores, and our overall CCRPI score by having an EAGLE’s eye focus on DATA. We must meet our students where they are and take them from there, and that cannot happen without data analysis. This starts from our little ones in Kindergarten all the way to our leaders in 5th grade. I am confident that we will always see growth in our students! During the 2016-17 school year, we become a nationally certified, Advanc-ED STEM school (now Cognia). STEM certification was an ongoing goal since my arrival to Oakcliff, and we worked together to make it happen!! On any given day, in any classroom, our teachers and students carry out the STEM engineering design process in some capacity. You will even see it take place in our special areas classes! We are STEMtastic at Oakcliff! We welcome all new partnerships with Oakcliff Traditional Theme School! There are a lot of exciting things going on within the walls of our school and it is definitely something that you shouldn’t miss!!
