| Biography I began my career as an educator in 1997. My first position was in one of the first
Charter Schools in Chicago as a 4th Grade teacher. I became an educator to make a difference in
the life of students as teachers did for me with my education. Throughout my
educational career I have been afforded opportunities to teach students from
all walks of life throughout the United States. I have taught various grades, held many
positions, coordinated afterschool programs, and developed and implemented
extra-curricular programs. I am a wife of thirteen years and mother of a
beautiful young lady. I enjoy cooking,
shopping, reading, traveling, and completing home makeover projects.
