| | Biography Hello, my name is Ms. Melissa Mintern. I am honored and excited to be named the Assistant Principal of Oakcliff Traditional Theme School. I have been at Huntley Hills Elementary for 20 years serving in numerous roles including MTSS, STEM Teacher, Academic Coach, and classroom teacher. I have enjoyed working with the many different students, parents, and teachers that I have met throughout my educational career there.
I believe that all students can learn and that all stakeholders are important to the school community. We are all here to work and learn together. I look forward to starting new relationships as I work with the various stakeholders at Oakcliff.
My beginnings started in the midwest, being born in Ohio, and moving to Illinois, before graduating high school in Wisconsin. I then headed south to South Carolina for my initial degree. During my spare time, I like to travel and explore new cultures. I am a voracious reader and enjoy biographies, travel logs, and books exploring my new hobby of gardening. |
