Biography
My name is Ms. Corey Elizabeth Hartman. I am humbled and honored to be named the Assistant Principal at Oakcliff Theme School. I have been employed with the DeKalb County School District for 5 years as an elementary school teacher, an academic coach at an elementary school, and a Student Support Specialist. I have enjoyed my work in all areas during my career in DeKalb.
I am dedicated to promoting a positive learning environment for all students and am excited to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that growing the entire student is our focus at Oakcliff Theme School. In a collaborative effort, I am confident that we will continue to provide our students an enriching and rigorous school experience.
A little about me: I grew up in Atlanta, GA but went to school in both Pennsylvania and Tennessee. I worked for the Gwinnett County Public School District for five years prior to joining DeKalb County. My time in the classroom has taught me that every problem has a creative solution and that every child can succeed.
I am looking forward to meeting all of the amazing students, parents, and staff at Oakcliff and am proud to serve this community.
