Biography
My name is Mrs. Hawkins, I am from East. St. Louis, Illinois.
I moved to Georgia in 1996 while in high school. I absolutely love it here in
Georgia. I truly enjoy teaching and making a difference in students’ lives. When
I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, cooking, trying
adventurous activities, and watching football. I am a huge Atlanta Falcons fan.
I currently work in the Special Education Department
teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I will be teaching Reading, English Language
Arts, Writing, and Social Studies. This
is my second year being an Oakcliff Eagle. I have had the pleasure of teaching for
a total of 9 years. I have been teaching 7 years in DeKalb County School
System. I completed my Undergraduate Degree with Clayton State University in
the area of Psychology and Human Services. I received my Master’s Degree from
Argosy University in the area of Education Leadership. I also attended Lincoln
Memorial University. I earned an Education Specialist degree in the area of
Curriculum and Instruction. I’m looking forward to a new school year.
